I Want To Believe – The X-Files Revival

XF trailer

I have been a fan of The X-Files (an X-Phile, in the fandom) almost from the beginning. I say almost, because the first episode I watched was “Squeeze” (S1 Ep3) and I recall one or both of my parents asking me to turn it off before the end. It was deemed too scary for me at that age. A Tale of Two Movies

tomorrowland trailerRight off the bat, I can tell you that I don’t often see movies in theaters anymore. I stopped in my early 20’s since I was always too broke (and also worked at Blockbuster, making rentals far easier to manage). I never really got back in the habit again. When I was a kid it was Bambi, Dr. Dolittle (1967), The Secret of NIMH, and Watership Down. As I got older…I wouldn’t even know where to start; it sometimes seems like every movie I watch was once a book and every book I read eventually becomes a movie. I’m a huge fan of Stephen King though, and I can tell you now that I don’t think any of his books translate as well as I’d like to the screen.
